A Day Spent with You ~ Meleza Jali

I sat staring blankly
at your face,
wondering
thinking
if it was truly you

I sat staring blankly
at your  beastly face

reminiscing the days
days filled pain
My mind cringed
at the thought of you

I sat staring blankly
at your wicked face

The times when I
felt as small as the second to the hour
Why?
You were of no value too

So many questions
few too answers
I sat staring
at your lousy face

And there
you sat, staring
blankly back at me.

  1. This is powerful. "as small as the second to the hour"...I love that.

  2. Yes, this is powerful, and I admire the same line Fireblossom has noted.
