A Poem About Physics & Other Poems ~ Minenhle Shabalala

A Poem AQbout Physics

Newton, Einstein, Schrodinger and Pascal
All these men have made my life rather dull.
Ohm, Avogadro, Watt and Planck
You have all made my mind go completely blank

Minimalistic beings of which
Indigenous people are plain to understand
Never to see our faces
Never to hear our voices
In their own central establishment
Empty headed of the civilisation outside their walls

Acrostic Poem

A Haiku

Yet very forgiving
Your tears of apology are accepted

  1. You remind me of one of my favorite poets; she is famous for saying a lot in very few words.

  2. I especially love "Minnie" - and the sweet haiku. I enjoyed reading your work.

  3. These are terrific. I especially laughed at the physics one! And the haiku re the apology is certainly very easy to relate to. Thanks! k.
